FAQ

Questions integrators actually asked, not questions we imagined they might ask. Client names are removed; everything else - endpoints, parameters, ids - is as answered, checked against the current spec while migrating.

How do I get the individual players from a tennis doubles or mixed event?

Section titled “How do I get the individual players from a tennis doubles or mixed event?”

Call GET /v2/events/{id} and read the participant id of the doubles/mixed team. Then call GET /v2/participants/{id} with that id - the response contains the two individual players that form the pair.

How do I get statistics for every player in a season?

Section titled “How do I get statistics for every player in a season?”

GET /v2/seasons/{season_id}/participants-stats?type=person. The type parameter takes team or person - without it, or with the wrong value, you get team rows instead of player rows.

GET https://api.statscore.com/v2/seasons/65839/participants-stats?type=person&token=YOUR_TOKEN

The response includes player ratings and positions. There is no parameter to filter by position or to sort by rating - if you need either, do it client-side after fetching.

How do I find the standings ids for a given season?

Section titled “How do I find the standings ids for a given season?”

GET /v2/standings?season_id={id} returns standings_list: every table the season exposes, each with its own id and a name like "Top scorers" or "League standings". Fetch the one you need with GET /v2/standings/{id}.

This is the same two-step flow as display a league table and show top scorers, cards and assists - those recipes go deeper into the row shape and the traps in it.

How do I find all the stages for a season - for example, the play-off stage?

Section titled “How do I find all the stages for a season - for example, the play-off stage?”

GET /v2/events?season_id={id} returns the full tree down to stage_id. See build a season calendar for pagination and the five-level shape - the stage you want (Regular Season, Play Offs, Group Stage...) is a value in that same tree, not a separate call.

How do I get a player's rating from their last 10 games?

Section titled “How do I get a player's rating from their last 10 games?”

Three steps, no single endpoint does this for you:

  1. GET /v2/events?participant_id={id}&sort_type=start_date&sort_order=desc&status_type=finished&limit=10
    • the team's last 10 finished matches, most recent first.
  2. For each match, GET /v2/events/{id}/sub-participants - per-player stats for that match, including Player rating.
  3. Collect the rating per player across the 10 responses.

A player who did not appear in a match has null for that match rather than a missing row - and if they missed several of the team's last 10, getting 10 of their own ratings means looking further back than the team's last 10 games.
